How to edit the Risk map categories

Please note: you must be an admin of the work area to do this
  1. Navigate to the Risk map you'd like to edit categories for
  2. Click on the 'Settings' area in the top right of the map
  3. Click the 'Edit' button in the 'Categories' section
  4. In this view you can start off by adding a parent category, this will be the "heading" for that category, e.g. Risk Source, Location, Department etc.
  5. Once you've added a parent category you can begin to populate it with child categories - these will act as your "options" (see image below for an example of how it can be laid out)
  6. Once you've got your categories set, it may be worth considering some additional details such as:
    1. The ordering of headers and options - this can be done using the 'Move and order' option
    2. Colours for different options - you can view and select a different colour by clicking the coloured (currently grey) square to the left of each delete button
    3. If a parent category should only have one option selected, you can specify that using the tickbox labelled "Only one child category from this parent category can be applied to each Risk"

Applying the categories to a risk

  1. Head to the risk you'd like to apply categories to
  2. On the left-hand side under the risk details, you should see the parent categories, clicking on the text to the right of it will allow you to apply/remove categories as you see fit

Once categories have been applied to a risk, a new option will appear in the risk map view to see the categories associated with it:


Under the export button, you should find some text to 'Expand' the table, clicking this will temporarily hide the Risk map and allow room for your categories to be seen:


You can also apply filtering to these categories to help with reviewing your risk register, this can be done using the 'Filter' option in the top left:
