Once a Framework has been created, you can amend its structure. Any new Projects created from that Framework will use the updated version. Existing Projects already created from the Framework will remain unchanged.
To edit a Framework:
- The Framework must have been created by a user in your organisation.
- You must be an Administrator on the Framework Project.
Note: If your Framework includes Notes, Documents, or Discussions, only the latest version of each will be copied into new Projects—not the full version history.
If you need an ISMS.online-provided Framework to be updated, please contact our support team using the in-platform chat.
How to Edit a Framework
- Find the Framework Project ID:
- Go to the Work menu and select All Work.
- Click Create New and choose Project.
- You’ll see a list of Frameworks available to you.
- Hover over the Framework you’d like to edit. The Project ID will appear at the end of the link in your browser’s status bar (for example: 2264).
- Access the Framework Project:
- Open any existing Project in ISMS.online.
- In the URL, replace the number after /projects/ with the Framework’s Project ID (for example: platform.isms.online/projects/2264).
- Press Enter to load the Framework.
- Edit the Framework structure in the same way you would edit a normal Project.
Important: You can only load a Framework URL if you have access rights to that Framework.
