At ISMS.online, we offer a data import service for a wide range of Work areas. This article explains how to prepare and submit an Accounts and Contacts import.

Before you start

Please review these requirements to ensure a smooth import:

  • SLA: We operate a 5-working-day SLA for data changes. Let us know if you need the changes to go live on a specific date.
  • Minimum volume: We can only process imports with 10 or more items.
  • Exact matches: Any fields that reference existing platform values (for example, categories) must match exactly—including capitalisation, spelling, and spacing.
  • File format: Keep the file in .csv format. This is compatible with all major spreadsheet tools.

Accounts and Contacts specifics

  • Account Categories & Sub-Categories: These can be customised per customer but must already exist on your ISMS.online platform (not just in the .csv) for the import to succeed. If you’re unsure, check our guidance on Account Categories or ask us to confirm what’s currently configured.
  • Template integrity: Do not alter the template’s structure. Keep all column headers and cell positions unchanged so we can process your file promptly.

How to proceed

  1. Download the Accounts & Contacts template.
  2. Complete the template, adding one row per item you want to upload.
  3. Send us the file—either by emailing support@isms.online or via the live chat inside the ISMS.online platform.
  4. Create a support userin your platform so we can validate settings against your import:
    • Email: support+<yourplatformname>@isms.online
    • Permissions: Team this user into the relevant area with Administrator rights.
      This allows us to confirm the import sheet aligns with your current configuration.
