This guide will walk you through configuring SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) for your ISMS.online platform. SCIM enables automatic provisioning and deprovisioning of users between your identity provider (IdP) and ISMS.online, helping you manage user access more efficiently and securely.

Step 1: Contacting Support

To begin, please reach out to our support team at support@isms.online. Once we receive your request, we’ll enable SCIM for your platform and securely provide the SCIM endpoint and API token required for setup.

Step 2 (Optional): Check for Local Conflicts

It’s worth reviewing your current user setup for any discrepancies—particularly mismatches in primary email addresses between your IdP and ISMS.online—which could cause duplicate accounts to be created. Resolving these early helps ensure a smoother implementation.

Step 3: Set Up a New User Template

Before completing your SCIM configuration, we recommend setting up a New User Template that applies to all users. This ensures that when new users log in via SCIM, they’re automatically given access to relevant work areas within the platform.

Step 4 (Optional): Resolve Duplicate Accounts

If you suspect SCIM has resulted in duplicate users—often due to email address mismatches—please contact our support team. We can clear the existing IdP link and help reconcile affected accounts.
