ISMS.online provides a powerful set of tools to allow you to show how all your work is related.

  • Linked Work
  • Hyperlinks in Notes and Discussions


Linked Work is currently available in Projects, Activities, Tracks, Track Items, Accounts, Contacts, Contracts, Risks and Groups. It allows you to create a link to existing areas in ISMS.online, or to create a new one and link the two together automatically as long as you are a team member of both. Connections made in this way will show in both the area where you created the link and the area that you linked it to.

Linking Projects, Tracks, Groups and Accounts

Creating a link

  1. Navigate to the Project, Track, Group or Account that you want to create the link from and click on Linked Work at the top of the page

  2. Press the Add link to related work button

  3. You will now be asked if you want to link to some existing work on ISMS.online or to create a new work area to link it to

  4. To link existing work, type a few letters if name of the area you want to link into the search box and select it from the dropdown list that appears and press Create Link
  5. To create and link a new work area, select the type you want to create from the drop down menu and click ''Create and link new'' and you will be taken through the process to create a new area which will be automatically linked to work you created it from

Linked work in a Track item or Project activity

  1. if you want to link a Project Activity, Risk, Contract, Contact or Track Item navigate to that area in ISMS.online and scroll down to the Linked Work section on the left-hand side of that page and click Add linked work
  2. You will now be asked if you want to link to some existing work on ISMS.online or to create a new work area to link it to

  3. To link existing work, type a few letters of the name of the area you want to link into the search box and select it from the dropdown list that appears and press Create Link


  4. To create and link a new work area, select the type you want to create from the drop-down menu and click Create and link new and you will be taken through the process to create a new area which will be automatically linked to work you created from


Note: If a Team member adds Linked work that you do not have access to, you will be unable to view, access or remove the link. If you are unable to access the work area, it will Show as '- Private -'.




Removing a link

  1. To remove a link to another part of ISMS.online simply click theicon associated with that link.
