At ISMS.online, we provide a data import service to help you quickly and efficiently upload information into your Work areas. This includes imports for the Information Asset Inventory (ISO 27001) as well as any other Tracks across the platform.
Before You Start
To make sure your import runs smoothly, please note the following:
- SLA: We work to a 5 working day service level for data changes. Let us know if you require the import to go live on a specific date.
- Minimum Items: Imports require a minimum of 10 items to proceed.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure all field content (e.g., categories) matches exactly with the platform, including capitalisation, spelling, and spacing.
- File Format: Your import file must remain in CSV format. This is compatible with all major spreadsheet applications.
Specific to Information Asset Inventory and Track Imports
- Parent and child categories in your spreadsheet must already exist as options in the relevant Track. For more guidance, see our Administering Categories Within Tracks guide.
- Categories must be spelt and capitalised consistently throughout the spreadsheet.
- Asset names should be unique to avoid duplicates.
- Keep the structure of the import template intact – cell locations and formatting should not be altered.
How to Prepare for Your Import
