We're pleased to now be able to introduce categories within tracks. This will help you to further be able to filter which activities are most relevant to whatever you are working on. It will also allow you to further define each activity to help make your project even easier to navigate.


Some uses for categories in projects are:

  • Tracking maturity for controls
  • Detailing applicability justifications
  • Tracking department or location-specific work
  • Noting sections of controls that may be up for review in your next external/internal audit

Please note that you must be an Administrator of the Project to do this.


Creating Categories


Categories will not show within your project until categories are added from within the settings page. You can do this using the following steps:


  1. In any project you are an admin of in ISMS.online go to settings within the top right-hand corner of the page:


  2. Scroll down to categories, you will see the following option to set up categories in this project:


  3. You can then add as many parent and/or child categories as required:

You can apply your categories from within each activity page:
 


Categories can be also applied in bulk edit format via the project progress page


The project progress page can be filtered to show only the activities with certain categories applied:
