Project Structure and Progress
You can view the structure of a project in three different ways:
- Outline – Add to and adjust your project structure.
- Project Progress – View both outstanding and completed activities.
- Gantt Chart – See your project timeline.
This guide focuses on the Project Progress area, showing how you can view, edit, and export activities and tasks within a project quickly and efficiently.
Outline
The Outline view lets you see and edit your project’s Phases, Deliverables, and Activities.
For more information on using the Outline, see the 'Creating a Project’ help guide
Gantt Chart
The Gantt Chart is available from the Structure tab. You can switch between Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly views.
Note: To appear in the Gantt Chart, project activities must have start and end dates.
While the Gantt Chart itself can’t be directly exported, you can include start and due dates when exporting from the Progress page and then import them into your preferred Gantt Chart tool.
Progress
The Progress view displays your project’s current status.
- Completed Phases, Deliverables, and Activities are shown in green for clarity.
Personalised Filters
At the top of the Progress screen, you’ll find a filter bar to refine your view.
You can:
- Select specific team members.
- Filter by activity status (e.g. overdue, incomplete).
This makes it easy to focus only on the activities that matter to you.
Fast Edit
The Fast Edit feature allows you to update multiple activities directly from the same screen.
To use Fast Edit, you must:
- Be a member of the project team with the Manager or Administrator role, or
- Have set the project with unrestricted activity management.
How to use it:
- Hover over the activity you want to edit.
- Click the pencil icon that appears to the right.
- Use the Fast Edit menu to make your changes.
- Click Update to save and notify the relevant team members.
Exporting and Customising Reports
From the Project Progress area, you can export a list of activities or tasks as a CSV file. This file can be opened in spreadsheet software like Excel for further analysis.
To export:
- Click Show export options.
- Choose the fields to include in your CSV file.
You can also copy the entire contents of a project into a word processor.
To do this:
